Residential Life
Our People
Natalie Stothart
I’ve had the pleasure of living in the Jody Douglass house when I moved to Buffalo with my husband and two sons in 2016. After living on campus for 8 years, we moved just a few blocks away, staying within Elmwood Village and continuing our support of the residential students. As Assistant Head of School, I will be your first contact as a newly enrolled residential student, and will help you to get acclimated with life at 十大彩票平台. Whether it be finding the perfect roommate, or wondering what to pack, I am here to help ease your transition to a new school. Lastly, Orientation/ Welcome Week is one of my favorite times of the year! Seeing our new students connect with one another over ice breakers and community activities is a fun time for me and the residential staff, and we look forward to meeting everyone each and every year.
Nicole Nobrega
My name is Nicole Nobrega, and I am the Residential Faculty Fellow and Niscah house parent, and Individualized Spanish Proficiency instructor at 十大彩票平台! My role is to always be available for our students’ needs and to support them academically, socially, and emotionally. Living on campus gives me the opportunity to get to know our students on a more personal level outside of school hours, and to build stronger and more trusting relationships with them. As a house parent, I love talking with everyone at dinner, going somewhere fun for a house activity, and baking together! Seeing the students come together to talk, laugh, and make memories at 十大彩票平台 makes me feel like I’m doing my job well. In my free time, I love to sing, play soccer, and experiment with film photography!
Ernest Frimpong
I have the privilege of residing in the charming Lipke House, nestled within the serene, green campus grounds of 十大彩票平台. As part of the residential program, I serve as one of the house parents for our residential students, providing support and guidance in various aspects of their campus life. In addition to my role as a house parent, I serve as a Faculty Fellow for Student Belonging, where I work to create an inclusive and supportive environment. I engage with students to address concerns related to safety, belonging, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued within our community. I also teach a freshman course, Global Citizens, where I collaborate with students to explore, analyze, and seek solutions to some of the pressing challenges facing our global community today.
Kaleb Colosimo
My name is Kaleb Colosimo, and I am a house parent in the Oishei house with my wife. In addition to being a house parent, I am also the Community Counselor for 十大彩票平台. Being a house parent is an incredibly rewarding experience, as I get the chance to create a home away from home for our residential students. In my free time, I enjoy participating in theater and playing flag football. Living on campus, I love having the opportunity to cheer on our residential students in their sports games, theatrical productions, and other extracurricular activities.
Colleen Denny
My name is Colleen Denny, and I am a house parent in Oishei House alongside my husband. Being a house parent means I am a support person to our residential students in everything from sharing meals together, watching movies together, driving them to activities, or just being someone to talk to. Our students are so awesome and unique, and I love hearing their stories to get to know each of them. I also have the opportunity to be a teacher to some of them, as I also teach Spanish at 十大彩票平台. My love of foreign languages also makes this role fun, as I get to hear and practice the students’ many languages.
Carrie Auwarter
I currently live in the Margaret Wendt House at 十大彩票平台 and assist with weekend duty throughout the year. On campus, I serve as the Director of Enrollment. I love working with prospective high school students and specifically living within a boarding school community that feels like a family. I hope to build strong relationships with our students, similar to the strong relationships I had with faculty members when I was a student at 十大彩票平台 because I know how impactful they are. My hobbies include books, movies, and animals!
Residential Representatives
Residential representatives are boarding students who have been carefully selected by their peers on the basis of their generosity of spirit and exemplary approach to the academic and social demands of school life. They live among their peers, are alert to their needs, and help care for their well-being. Working in close concert with their house parents, they help tend to community life within the homes.
Gloria
Hi, I’m Gloria and I’m the Residential Representative for the Niscah house. Being a residential representative means that I am the bridge between the residential staff and the students. I am so glad that I can give proposals and recommendations to our flexible staff to make it better and feel like home. In my opinion, a leader should be able to listen to everyone's opinion and help them implement it. The inclusion and diversity in the dorms are what makes my leadership position more fun and interesting because I get to know people in depth from different backgrounds.
Oishei House Rep
I am the Residential Representative for Oishei House. I am honored to serve my community by helping with student’s needs and concerns. My goal is to help create a comfortable space where everyone feels valued, supported, and listened to. This leadership role allows me to play a part in building a positive environment that feels like home, and I take this responsibility seriously to make it the best with the ability that I have. I am committed to working hard to make sure our community thrives and that everyone’s voice is heard, and all together make a better community.
Our Residential Representatives take responsibility with great care and dedication, ensuring that our dorms stay clean and run smoothly. They are always approachable and willing to help you with any questions or concerns, making them a reliable prefect and housemate.

Student Activities
Buffalo Seminary is located in the heart of one of Buffalo’s most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods, Elmwood Village, making it the perfect place for on- and off-campus fun on the weekends. Whether on campus or out in the Buffalo community, members of our entire school community plan activities for our students to choose from each weekend that allow them to wind down, have fun connecting with their peers, and prepare themselves for another week of school ahead.
Some student favorites are walking to nearby cafes and restaurants, visiting the Albright Knox Art Gallery, and going on shopping trips with their teachers to the local mall- with a stop at Target of course. We also prioritize on-campus time on weekends with movies, baking, game nights, and study time. Weekends are a great time for our students to study independently in their common spaces/ bedrooms or work on group projects together in our beautiful library.
